Shelmith Mwangi is an actuarial student at Daystar University with a deep love for numbers, particularly when it comes to taxation and statistics. Before becoming one of the executives of the Actuarial Students’ Society of Kenya (ASSK), she proudly served as the Secretary General of the Daystar University Actuarial Students Association (DUASA). Her leadership journey didn’t start there—she also took on leadership roles at the Kenya School of Revenue and Administration (KESRA), where she honed her skills. But Shelmith is much more than just someone who crunches numbers! She has a passion for baking and loves creating cakes that are as artistic as they are delicious. When she’s not knee-deep in equations or perfecting a new cake recipe, you’ll find her having fun, meeting new people, and soaking up stories and perspectives from all walks of life. Whether it’s through a conversation or a shared laugh, Shelmith believes that every interaction is a chance to learn and grow
